1. On November 17, 1978, Mike Smith and I attended an interview conducted by staff members of the House Select Committee on Assassinations regarding allegations made by David F. Christensen about involvement in the assassination of President Kennedy.
2. The interview was conducted by Messers Kenneth Klein and Gary Cornwell and held in secure spaces provided by Mr. George Murphy, Director of Senate National Security Office.
3. Sgt. Nicholas B. Stevenson, USAF, who had been stationed with Mr. Chris Christensen at USA-55, Kirkwood, Scotland, in 1963, was made available for the interview by DoD.
4. The Committee staffers were interested primarily in Sgt. Stevenson's recollections regarding events described by Mr. Christensen in a letter to him written in May 1978.
5. Sgt. Stevenson briefly described the USA-56 site HP LLC mission and confirmed that the Lebon-Tangier link mentioned in Mr. Christensen's letter could have been intercepted by the site, but he had no knowledge of such an event occurring.
6. The Committee staffers made no notes during the interview and agreed to let Mike and me review their report for purposes of classification or declassification after November 20, 1978.
7. The staffers remain particularly interested in determining the name of the individual who Mr. Christensen believes is related to the assassination and will explore means of determining this information.
8. A Memorandum of Understanding was executed between the Committee and OSD on November 15, 1978, governing the protection of classified information relating to the investigation into Mr. Christensen's allegations.
9. The interview with Sgt. Stevenson will be conducted in secure spaces authorized for the discussion of classified signals intelligence information.
10. The Committee agrees not to disclose any classified information revealed during the interview without prior written concurrence from DoD, and a representative of the Deputy of Defense will attend the interview to advise on classification issues.
