E. Howard Hunt was interviewed on March 4, 1975, regarding allegations of his involvement in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Hunt stated that he had never been involved in any way with the assassination and denied any participation or involvement in the attempted assassination of Governor Wallace, the disappearance of Congressman Hale Boggs, or the shooting of Senator Stennis.

He claimed to have been at home with his family on November 22, 1963, when President Kennedy was shot, and provided names of witnesses who could corroborate his alibi, including his son Howard, daughter Lisa, and daughters Kevin and Kevan.

Hunt also stated that he had never met Frank Sturgis until 1972, nine years after they were allegedly together in Dallas, and denied any involvement with Lee Harvey Oswald or the Fair Play for Cuba Committee.

He suggested that Fidel Castro should be assassinated before or contemporaneously with the Cuban invasion in 1961, but his suggestion was not acted upon.

Hunt's whereabouts on November 22, 1963, were confirmed by his daughter Lisa and former family maid Mary Traynor.

The Commission on CIA Activities Within the United States conducted an investigation into Hunt's claims, and he provided a statement to them on February 5, 1975.

Hunt also wrote a letter to the Commission stating that he had been libeled by Dick Gregory and others regarding his involvement in the assassination of President Kennedy.

A former family maid, Mary Traynor, wrote to Hunt on February 6, 1976, confirming that she was present at his home on November 22, 1963, when President Kennedy was shot.

Hunt's alibi for the time of the assassination was corroborated by multiple witnesses, including his children and former family maid.
