INTRODUCTION The 201 system provides a method for identifying a person's specific in- terest to the Operations Directorate for controlling and filling all pertinent information about the person. The system also provides a means for identifying subjects of 301 files from various categories of information about them and for information about that person, the system allows for identification and filling them for tively small number of personalities indexed as members of sufficient interest to justify information that the information contained within the organization. The information contained in this document is not only CI investigation, prospective agents and sources, members of groups and organizations, and sations of continuing target interest, or subjects on whom a volume of corre- spendence has accumulated. 2. THE 201 SYSTEM The principal features of the 201 system are: a. The 201 Number: a unique number, i.e. 201-1234567, assigned to each individual in the system to serve to identify file containing the number for reporting on that individual and all biolographic reporting to the individual, ie, and per- b. The 301 Dossier: the official file containing a 201 opening form (Form 381) and current reporting and reporting of the individual. Ie, per- sonal and current reports and procedures. The Master 201 Record: a machine record generated by the opening of a 201 file. The Master 201 record is a reference for the Main Index and stores of the pertinent information which may later be retrieved for special listings. d. Main Index Master's Reference reference, printed in reply to an included Search Number is printed in illustrated below.
