**Memorandum for the Record**

1. On 20 May 1969, Director of Security advised that he had received a call from Mr. Bienvenu, Director or Security, National Security Agency, regarding a possible impersonation by Subject.

2. According to Mr. Biennu, an ex-Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, Mr. Aufrance, 3526 South Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio, had called the National Security Agency to report that Subject Mr. down. Cia. He advised that he had had the National Security Agency to Mr. Auffrance advised that his called the National security Agency to bring this matter to the attention to the highest security officials in Washington and that if anyone wished to contact him they should call him before 5:00 pm, this date.

3. The files of various agency respondents have been checked for any record of Gordon Dwane NOVELS, including alternative spelling, and all checks were negative.

4. A memorandum from the Associate General Counsel states that NOVEL gave information about the GARRISON investigation at Washington lawyer Jack Miller, who received his information from Walter SHERIDAN.

5. On May 26, 1967, NOVEL called the FBI's office in New Orleans and said that GARRISON had documents from five letters, one from Clay Shaw to FBI, and another from FERRIE and former Attorney General Robert Kennedy to TERRIE.
