Agency interest in Mr. Mackenhut and his company was for the purpose of obtaining cover support for Western 24 Hemisphere Agency employees assigned to Florida! 2. Mr. WACKenhut, a former Federal Bureau of Investi- gation agent, was investigated by this Agency with favorable regulation agent, as investigated by the Agency with was granted on 21 November 1961. Subsequently, his company 24 provided cover backstopping to Western Hemisphere employees stationed on the Miami, Florida, area) 3. In April of 1967 due to the notoriety that Mr. Wackyenhut had received in connection with his activities in Florida, Mr. Wakenhut's covert Security Approval was rescued to the Wacken hut's covert security approval with him. However, in November of 1974- it was learned to Wackehut. Corporation was providing guard coverage to Global Marine Development, Incorporated no (GMDI) - Los Angeles, California, and the Department of Defense, the Department's Department of the United States. This Agency made to attempt to persuade GMDI to terminate their contract with Wackenchut Corporation, and it is assumed that GMDI is still receiving guard coverage from them.
